In Windows 10 Preview Build 11099, we encountered an error message that pops up sometimes after booting up our computers, stating “Error in wsclient.dll Missing entry: RefreshBannedAppsList”.
A little annoying, I thought, so if you too want to get rid of the WSClient.DLL error, just do this:
- Click the Windows start icon or search icon and type in (search for) “Task Scheduler”.
- Launch the Task Scheduler desktop app, then expand “Task Scheduler Library” in the left-hand pane.
- Expand further to “Microsoft”, then “Windows” and finally “WS” at the bottom.
- In the middle (main) part, you should now see a few tasks. Right-click the one named “WSRefreshBannedAppsListTask” and click “Disable”.
- Problem solved.
